Our researcher Nermin Oruc participated at the workshop titled ‘Migration in the Western Balkans’. The workshop was organized by the EC DG NEAR and ICMPD, and was held on 24 – 25 January at the Metropol Hotel, Belgrade.
The workshop enabled participants to share experiences in the aftermath of the ‘migration crisis’ in the EU and the Western Balkans and to gain a common understanding of the EU’s migration policy framework, focusing on how the Western Balkans fit in the overall evolving EU policy.
Nermin, with other co-authors, presented the report “Maximizing the development impact of labour migration in the Western Balkans”, which was prepared for the European Commission.
