In continuation of the implementation of the regional InQuire Migration Research Laboratory Program, which is implemented with participants from the countries of the Western Balkans and Türkiye, the fourth session was organised online on 15th February 2024. The program is implemented with the support of the regional WB-MIGNET network.
The fourth session was dedicated to the research of push and pull factors in migration, and the session was led by researcher Iva Vukčević from the Institute for Strategic Studies and Prognoses (ISSP) from Montenegro. ISSP is a long-standing member of the WB-MIGNET network. At the session, Iva presented the methodological approach and the results of the research on the push and pull factors when it comes to emigration from Montenegro, as well as the initial results of the research on immigration to Montenegro. During the session, the participants had the opportunity to discuss examples of factors from their countries and compare them with each other, which indicated similarities in factors when it comes to the countries of the Western Balkans.
