Based on the Statement on the Transformation of Education by the Ministries of Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) from June 2022, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF ), the Office of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EU in BiH), the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSCE Mission in BiH/OMBiH) and the Council of Europe (CoE), launched joint activities aimed at providing support for the development of Action Plans for improving the quality of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the next ten years (2025-2035).
CREDI is engaged to provide technical support to ministries of education in all administrative units in BiH in order to develop their APs for different levels of education, namely for: a) preschool, b) primary, c) secondary, d) technical and vocational education and training ( TVET), including adult education, and e) higher education. Action plans will contain specifically defined goals for each administrative unit in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and will enable more efficient strategic planning, mobilization of budget funds and attraction of investments in the field of education. The main inputs for the Action Plans will be Discussion Papers prepared by experts, one for each level of education, covering and addressing the specific characteristics of all administrative units. In addition to action plans by administrative units, the development of the Framework for improving the quality of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina is also planned.
