The Data Archive for Social Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina (DASS-BiH), hosted by CREDI, has been included in the European Research Council’s (ERC) inventory of trustworthy repositories for a second time. This recognition is part of an initiative by the ERC Executive Agency to support Open Science Requirements in the Horizon Europe Model Grant Agreement (HE MGA) by identifying repositories that ERC-funded researchers can trust to host their research outputs.
The inventory was developed through a study conducted by a team of independent experts, commissioned by the ERC Executive Agency, to analyze the preparedness of various data and literature repositories in enabling compliance with Open Science standards. The study examined factors such as repository security, data accessibility, and alignment with FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles. Within this context, DASS-BiH stands out as the only social science repository from the Western Balkans, underscoring its unique role in supporting research in the region.
DASS-BiH’s inclusion reaffirms its CoreTrustSeal certification, a global standard in trustworthy data repository certification, and its status as a repository listed in prominent registries like FAIRsharing and re3data.
