CREDI is happy to report successful completion of another project, titled “Data Collection for UNICEF’s Strategic Positioning for Country Programme Evaluations”. As a lead partner, CREDI supported UNICEF’s evaluations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia. This initiative, conducted in partnership with Statistics and More e.U (SAM) and the Institute for Sociological, Political and Juridical Research (ISPJR), was designed to gather data that will inform UNICEF’s strategic positioning and effectiveness in achieving key objectives in both countries.
The Country Programme Evaluations (CPEs) are independent evaluations that assess UNICEF’s performance and results, providing evidence-based insights essential for accountability, learning, and informed decision-making. By examining UNICEF’s influence on national agendas and relationships with stakeholders, the evaluations highlight UNICEF’s strengths and leadership in advancing children’s rights.
The project’s primary goal was to conduct on-site research and a stakeholder survey to map the network of entities involved in policies related to children and adolescents. This research will be utilised to evaluate UNICEF’s positioning within government structures, among national partners, and within the private sector, addressing both national and sub-national needs.
Key research questions included:
- What is UNICEF’s position within the national stakeholder map?
- In which areas is UNICEF best positioned to influence policy, especially regarding its key result areas?
- What are the priorities of stakeholders concerning children’s rights?
- Which stakeholders are best positioned to drive or hinder policy changes for children in North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina?
