The Center for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI) participated in the transnational workshop as part of the JUSTMIG project titled “ Sustainable and Socially Just Transnational Sectorial Labour Markets for Temporary Migrants” (Grant No. 101126535). The workshop was held on November 26, 2024, in a hybrid format, bringing together representatives of social partners and experts from Austria, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The workshop was attended by researchers from the CREDI center, Amela Kurta and Nermin Oruč. In the introductory part of the workshop, Amela presented the key findings from the background report for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The CREDI team expresses its gratitude to all institutions and organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina that supported the implementation of this important research project. We would like to acknowledge the contribution of representatives who joined us at the workshop from the Agency for Labor and Employment of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Employment Institute of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Employment Institute of Republika Srpska, the Employment Institute of Brčko District, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the ILO Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The JUSTMIG project, funded by the European Union, aims to examine the experiences of migrant workers in temporary employment and analyse the challenges faced by social partners and labour market institutions in the sectors of care, retail, and manufacturing. The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange best practices and foster networking, strengthening joint efforts towards the development of sustainable and fair policies for migrant workers.
