CREDI has been selected by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Bosnia and Herzegovina to develop the “Roadmap for Employment of Foreign Workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.” This project, funded by IOM-BiH and closely implemented with the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, aims to address the growing demand for foreign labour in the country by fostering a coordinated approach to labour mobility management.
The Roadmap will provide strategic guidance to enhance the efficiency of labour migration processes, ensuring alignment with socio-economic needs and stakeholder perspectives. It is part of the broader IOM initiative, “Strengthening Labor Migration Management in BiH” funded by the IOM Development Fund that aims to support the relevant authorities and stakeholders in BiH to better respond to labour market needs in BiH by establishing a whole-of-government and whole-of-society dialogue to foster evidence-based migration policymaking in line with the EU accession aspirations and the Global Compact for Migration (GCM).
CREDI will collaborate with national and international experts, public institutions, private sector representatives, and civil society to develop a comprehensive document that includes procedural analyses, stakeholder consultations, and actionable recommendations. The final Roadmap will not only streamline processes but also promote sustainable and responsible employment practices for foreign workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
