The Data Archive for Social Sciences in Bosnia and Herzegovina (DASS-BiH), managed by the Center for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI), has officially become a Regular Member of the World Data System (WDS), affiliated with the International Science Council (ISC). This partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, reflects DASS-BiH’s commitment to promoting open access, ensuring long-term preservation of social science research data, and adhering to international standards such as the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
As Bosnia and Herzegovina’s only social science data repository, DASS-BiH’s inclusion in WDS highlights its role in fostering global research collaboration and data sharing. With CoreTrustSeal certification and registration in platforms like re3data and FAIRsharing, DASS-BiH strengthens its position as a reliable and trustworthy data repository. Through this partnership, DASS-BiH will support WDS’s mission to provide quality-assessed data services to the international science community, further advancing social science research locally and globally.
