The Center for Development Evaluation and Social Research (CREDI) participated in the regional conference “Promoting the Green Industrial Future in the Western Balkans”, held on 3 November 2025 in Tirana, Albania. The event was organized by the Open Society Foundations – Western Balkans (OSF-WB) in partnership with the GAP Institute, bringing together policymakers, experts, academics, and civil society representatives from across the region.
The conference focused on key topics of the green transition, including the development of green industrial policies, management of critical raw materials, accelerated deployment of renewable energy, and strengthening the role of women in the green economy.
CREDI was represented at the event by researcher Ilma Kurtović, who followed discussions on regional approaches to industrial transformation, mechanisms for a just transition, and opportunities to enhance cooperation among Western Balkan countries.
Participation in this event contributes to CREDI’s continuous engagement in the areas of green transition, economic development, and evidence-based policymaking.
