On the third day of the workshop dedicated to quality assurance in upper secondary vocational education (28 November 2025), CREDI – the Center for Development Evaluation and Social Research – presented an innovative data collection instrument, the VET Barometer. The tool was introduced to representatives of 22 nominated secondary schools by CREDI researchers Nermin Oruč and Ilma Kurtović.
The VET Barometer provides a systematic, structured, and methodologically grounded approach to collecting and analysing data in the vocational education sector. It is designed to support schools and relevant education authorities in making evidence-based decisions by enabling the identification of development needs, planning of measures and activities, monitoring their implementation, and assessing achieved results.
By applying this instrument, schools will be able to continuously strengthen their self-assessment capacities, improve their internal quality assurance processes, and foster a culture of data-driven learning and improvement.
The workshop concluded in a constructive atmosphere, with participants receiving clear guidance for further development and implementation of quality assurance mechanisms within their institutions.
This activity was carried out within the project “Strengthening the Technical and Vocational Education and Training System in BiH”, funded by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and implemented by GOPA Worldwide Consultants through its office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
