The Center for Development Evaluation and Social Science Research (CREDI) is pleased to invite you to a consultative event dedicated to energy transition issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the event, a report on the energy transition in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be presented. The report was prepared within the framework of a project in which CREDI participates as the partner organization for Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the GAP Institute. The project builds upon the Green Industrial Policies (GIP) Framework for the Western Balkans, developed with the support of the Open Society Foundations.
The report analyzes key aspects of the energy transition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a particular focus on the development of renewable energy sources, the impact of the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on domestic industry, and the challenges and opportunities of a just transition for local communities affected by the decarbonization process.
Following the presentation of the report, a consultative discussion will be held with representatives of public institutions, the private sector, academia, international organizations, and civil society. The objective of the discussion is to exchange views, experiences, and recommendations regarding the priorities, challenges, and opportunities of the energy transition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to identify measures that can contribute to the country’s sustainable, just, and competitive energy development.
