Nermin Oruc holds PhD degree in Economics from Staffordshire University, UK. He has 8 years of teaching experience from local universities, where he taught Econometrics, Research Methods, Labour Economic and Economic Development, as well as more than 10 years of experience in leading andparticipating in research projects. He was also employed as a consultant on a number of projects with World Bank, IOM, UNDP, and other organisations. His research interests include migration, labour market analysis, poverty and inequality. He was awarded teaching fellowship by the CERGE-EI Prague for the period 2012-2015 and InGRID visiting fellowship to ISER, University of Essex. Nermin is currently Coordinator of the Western Balkans Migration Network and leader of the national team for BiHMOD, a micro-simulation model for tax and benefits policies in BiH, based on EUROMOD.
